A slam dunk for Haileybury basketballers
Congratulations to Issy Stewart (Year 11) who has been selected for the Victoria Metro U18 Women’s basketball squad. Keyaan Bongso (Year 11) and Oscar Humble (Year 12) have been selected for the Victoria Metro U18 Men’s team.
They will compete in the National U18 Basketball Championships in Brisbane from Sunday, 9 April until Sunday, 16 April. We wish these players all the very best.
National swimming champion
Tommy Lane (Year 12) is continuing his open water swimming success by winning the 2023 Boy’s 18-year-old 5km Australian Open Water Championships. Tommy completed the event in a time of 55 minutes 8.08 seconds.
Due to his wonderful success, he is now likely to be selected for elite swimming programs. Tommy attributes his success to Kelly Stubbins, Haileybury Swimming Coach, and her hard work, skill and dedication. Well done, Tommy!
