Haileybury Swim Club is dedicated to promoting the sport of competitive swimming across Haileybury and the wider community. We strive to foster a passionate and supportive environment to assist all members to achieve their goals both in and out of the water.
We are a nationally registered swimming program open to both Haileybury students and members of the broader public.
We welcome all swimmers from a beginner squad level up to and including a national performance level.
Meet our Head Coach, Sarah Scott
Sarah began her coaching career in Western Australia prior to moving to Victoria to begin a role assisting the Nunawading High performance squad, eventually advancing to leading the National Age and Junior programs. During her tenure at Nunawading, the program progressed to become the second highest performing program in Australia. Under Sarah's tutelage, her athletes have achieved, collectively, dozens of National podiums and titles, one Australian Age record, countless Victorian and Western Australian podiums and records, and progressed to represent Australia at a Junior and Senior level.
She holds an advanced coaching qualification and a Bachelor in Exercise Science majoring in Exercise Physiology. In conjunction to her academic studies, she also seeks out practical learning opportunities, most recently completing a six-month period on the Gold Coast in 2023 alongside Janelle Pallister and Michael Bohl, and their squad of High-Performance athletes consisting of Emma McKeon, Kaylee McKeown, Lani Pallister, and Brendon Smith.
As a coach, Sarah is known for her ability and achievement across all strokes and distances, but has a particular love for individual medley and the 200/400 distances.
