Making learning visible
In the first few weeks of Term 1, it has been impressive to see our students orient themselves to our key learning technologies and build the skills they need to communicate effectively online. Using Teams has been new to many students and our teachers have supported them to utilise collaborative tools, such as whiteboards and OneNote, to make live classes highly interactive.
Students and parents also have access to myFeedback, a live dashboard that displays students’ weekly self-paced learning tasks and upcoming assignments. This allows students to visualise their progress through their course and keep on top of due dates. This tool will be essential for students in managing their own learning and building their personalised schedules.
Meeting our students
For teachers, it has been delightful to meet and get to know students over the first few weeks of the year. With students joining live classes from around Victoria and, in some cases, from around the world, we have loved hearing each student’s unique story and getting an insight into their life beyond school.
We look forward to sharing stories of our students’ achievements and adventures throughout the year.
