HRS makes more plans for education in the Northern Territory

Young people learn effectively in different ways and as a forward-thinking school, we believe it’s important to find new ways to deliver education that meets the needs of every student. We also believe that access to a high-quality education and to brilliant teachers should not be geographically restricted.

With this in mind, Haileybury Rendall School was proud to recently announce that we are seeking approval from the Northern Territory Government to bring Haileybury Pangea to the Top End.

Haileybury Pangea will be the Northern Territory’s first private online school and it means that Haileybury Rendall School now offers students and families day, boarding and online schooling.

Haileybury Pangea is an exciting development and hopes to welcome its first students in 2024. It builds on Haileybury Rendall School’s success over the last five years, as well as Haileybury’s 130 years of tradition, history, experience and entrepreneurship.

Haileybury Pangea launched its first classes in Victoria in January this year, after several years of rigorous research and development, and it has been a resounding success. We expect students and families to experience that same success when Haileybury Pangea launches here.

Importantly, Haileybury Pangea offers parents across the Northern Territory another choice in education. It offers high-achieving, self-motivated students flexibility, while providing an education that meets the very high standards that our school is renowned for.

Haileybury Pangea is significantly different from what we currently offer. As an online school, this means students from Years 5 to 12 (ages 10 to 18) will attend from their individual location. This will support families living in rural and remote parts of the Northern Territory where education options may be extremely limited.
