50-year reunion success!
On Friday, 27 October, 40 delightful gentlemen from the Class of 1973 gathered at the Keysborough campus for a delicious morning tea, a school tour and, most importantly, to reconnect! Many had not returned to the campus since graduating and were amazed by the significant changes. It was very heart-warming to listen to their reminiscing and stories about playing sport on ovals that were surrounded by lush market gardens.
Brian ‘Weary’ Clark Club luncheon … the tradition continues!
The 13th Annual Clark Club Luncheon at the Kingston Heath Golf Club on Friday, 27 October was a wonderful day! This annual event welcomes those who graduated from Haileybury 50 or more years ago. It recognises the contribution of Mr Brian ‘Weary’ Clark, a stalwart on the Haileybury staff for 43 years. It was touching to have Brian’s widow, Gweneth Clark, and son Tim (OH 1974) attend in his honour.
Russell Davidson (OH 1986) and Millie Hogben (OH 2013), the OHA’s first female president, welcomed over 170 guests to this special luncheon. This was followed by Ross Sundberg (OH 1960) who provided a poignant Brian Clark Oration and Derek Scott then delivered an interesting update on the School.
The most rewarding part of this milestone luncheon is making a difference in our alumni’s lives, watching them reconnect with their peers and listening to their stories from their school days and journeys to today.
We look forward to welcoming the Class of 1974 to next year’s luncheon!
